Installation was simple and the new Samsung RDRAM was recognized by myDell Dimension 8200 (running Windows XP) immediately.
BTW:My initial concern was that my existing RDRAM was non-ECC, and this was ECC, but my research indicated this would not be a problem (that the new ECC would simply default to run as non-ECC, which is actually faster anyway).That proved to be correct.
I also appreciate that the seller was careful to match me with the correct RDRAM for my 1.7GHz CPU.
