(More customer reviews)Love this new computer. When I got it everything was packed just fine. Got it hooked up and running in just a few minutes. This computer is an all metal case (with exception to the side window of course lol), very nice. You can see through the window how very carefully everything was wired and what not.
It has two open pci slots so if you dont want to use the onboard sound, or want that killer network card, you can upgrade it (although I don't see a need for the upgrade on the network card I have no lag so far).
Now as to gameplay............GOOD TIMES ARE HERE AGAIN !!!! lol. I bought this system mainly because my old p4 3.4 would not run the latest games out. (although it will run Star Trek Online, just with all the graphics turned down and who wants that?) This computer runs Battlefield Bad Company 2 with no problems and with no lag I might add. (54% accuracy with sniper rifle WOOHOO !!!!)
Now you probably could spec out a cheaper computer, but I doubt it would have the i7 2.8 in it, or the gtx 275 video together in it, or have the same quality as what I've seen in this system so far. It comes with a basic logitech keyboard, and a creative mouse. (When I say creative I mean the company creative that makes the soundcards) Speaking of the mouse, it's a typical 5 button mouse, and does ok. I plan on replacing this with a logitech mx518 or better.
Oh one final note. This beast is quiet. You can hear the fans but it's not loud at all. You can also hear the harddrive, but barely, (I have it sitting on my desk next to my screen, if I had in the floor by my desk I doubt I would hear the hard drive). Oh one more thing, the air circulation doesn't acutually turn warn till you start to run a game like Battlefield Bad Company 2.
Oh one more thing (lol) I know people say 8gb of ram is a bit much (also bear in mind your operating system has to be 64 bit to run more than 4gb of ram, which is std. on this system), but in my opinion, you can't ever have too much ram and the fact it came std. on this system was another plus for me. As far as compatibility with older software (win xp software that is), I have not run into anything yet that would not run on this system.
All in all I'm very satisfied with this system.
