(More customer reviews)I purchased this printer because my HP OfficeJet 6310 couldn't scan in the Lifetouch pictures from our son's school.The OfficeJet scanned them and it looked like someone has spread water over the picture.
The Epson Artisan 835 scanned the pictures in perfectly.We are very pleased with the result, and now we can see our pictures on our desktop.
Printing: Good, Scanning: Excellent.Copying: excellent.
It prints very well, and has an automatic photo tray.
One con for the printer is that it cannot handle 3-hole punch paper, for use in a loose-leaf notebook.When the printer reaches the first hole in the paper, it spits out the entire sheet.You can print on the back side but then the holes are on the wrong side for the notebook.The printer does indicate that it can print on ruled paper, but I'd have to see if that means standard college ruled paper, or what, since we had problems with the 3-hole punched paper.
Another con is that the Epson scanning software doesn't seem to auto-clip scanned in pictures, although that may be pilot error.
