(More customer reviews)Now Now , I know you might think my definition and usage of the word PC is irrelevant with respect to this particular product. I know a PC depends on other factors but as far as speed and performance goes this is the best processor I've used.I'm not an engineer but I cant tell you that this Athlon delivers. This would be the first AMD I ever used. Definitely not the last. I think the CPU Intensive jobs are handled rather well. THe die hard 512KB cache system peaks when converting DVD format to Divx. Its a swift really. On doing the same test on a 2 GHZ Intel and it seems this particular processor tops my expectations. It did an average of 75 Frame Rate Per second conversion while Intel topped out at 64. For the price of this processor I suggest everyone and anyone looking for a great gaming and PC working experience to go ahead and buy this.

(More customer reviews)This CPU is very fast, very inexpensive, and if you are lucky (and have an appropriate motherboard), you can unlock an extra core.I didn't buy this CPU for gaming performance though, I bought it for energy savings.I have several aging Pentium 4 and Socket 939 systems that are in use by family and they needed something better and not so power hungry (they have a nasty habit of leaving them on 24/7). The Rana processor definitely fits the bill.Long term savings on electricity bills will pay for this CPU, and the huge boost in performance is nice too.

I'd venture to say as of 3Q 2010, this is probably the best budget CPU on the market right now.It beats the pants out of many of the older Intel Core 2 Duo processors that are still in heavy use today. It benched faster than a couple Core 2 Duo systems (E8600, E6750) that I moved to office duty.
