(More customer reviews)I just received my ErgoMotion Mouse. I was looking for an ergonomic replacement for my previous Microsoft mouse that died on me after several years of loyal service. I was very frustrated with the options available for left handed users. I came across Smartfish Technologies web site a few months ago, before the mouse was available, and decided that this would be my next mouse (I used my "back-up" mouse until now, a wired $3 mouse). I kept checking back to see about availability and when I saw that Amazon had a few in stock, I jumped at it and it arrived today. I love the ErgoMotion Mouse. It took me a few minutes to get used to it, Its a little larger than I expected, I had to decide whether its more comfortable to use a palm rest or not, and I had to adjust the pointer speed in the mouse settings. Now I am happy. My months of suffering with my uncomfortable back-up mouse is over. I highly recommend the ErgoMotion Mouse. It is comfortable, seems to be well made and the pivoting top has just the right amount of resistance. At first I found that I was accidentally pressing the buttons while moving the mouse, but after a few minutes, I'm used to it. It is a great product.

(More customer reviews)I've had this product for about four months now.I use it with a October-2009-release iMac running Snow Leopard, my previous computer having been a G4 PowerBook.

First, don't waste your money on the clip that supposedly attaches it to your keyboard.Even the one for the newer Mac keyboards doesn't work (the clip slides back at any pressure on the trackpad), and I had to tape mine in place with duct tape.

The good stuff: the trackpad is small and can be placed very close to your keyboard.Clicking and scrolling are good, although not great.It does install supereasy.

The bad stuff: Having no drivers means you have no software control over how sensitive the touchpad is, and as it comes, it is MUCH too sensitive.I am always double-clicking when I mean a single click, dragging when I don't mean to, etc.I'd like to be able to turn off the "right click" feature (clicking in the upper right corner = right clicking): the worst thing about it is that it right clicks when I'm trying to scroll, but I frequently stray too far to the right and right click when I mean regular clicking.I've gotten better on keyboard shortcuts just to avoid the worry on some tasks.

The really bad stuff: The click and drag simply does not work, at least not when I mean it to.I was always ending up with things dropped in the wrong place; text selections either refused to end or double-clicked at the end, deselecting the text.As I said, I am always picking up and dragging things when I don't mean to.I always use my mouse for drag and drop.Some things (like taking a screen capture of a portion of the screen) are just impossible without turning to the mouse.I wish the trackpad had a button or two, but I grant I wouldn't be willing to go up to something that took up a lot more desktop space to get them.

So the short version is that it is OK.It doesn't replace the touchpad on the PowerBook.I feel the loss of mouse buttons.It does for most cursor-control tasks, so long as you keep your regular mouse handy for the more demanding ones.
