(More customer reviews)I buy a computer I expect it to last me at least 3 years, with Apple care I know it will continue to work the same way it did the day I bought it. If it stops working, or is not working as expected I simply take it in to my apple store and they fix the problem. They will even re-image my drive (i need to back up my data)
Apple Care also gives you an 800 number to call if you need to ask a question about your Mac.

The AppleCare Protection Plan ensures that Apple-certified technicians will perform repairs using genuine Apple parts. This plan includes onsite service for desktop computers as well as global repair coverage, which can be very important if you travel abroad.
Coverage Information
The AppleCare Protection Plan is subject to terms and conditions, which are provided on the AppleCare Protection Plan website.

To qualify for the AppleCare Protection Plan, your product must be within its one-year Apple hardware warranty.
A separate AppleCare Protection Plan must be purchased for each Apple system to be covered.
Mac mini, Mac Pro, and MacBook Pro/MacBook Air/MacBook customers may also enroll one Apple display for coverage, provided that the Mac and the display are purchased together.
Global repair coverage is included.
Onsite service for desktop computers is available within a 50-mile (80-kilometer) radius of an Apple authorized onsite service provider in the country where the plan is purchased and enrolled.
The AppleCare Protection Plan covers an Apple keyboard and mouse when they are included with a covered product (or purchased with Mac mini). An AirPort Extreme Card, an AirPort Express or AirPort Extreme Base Station, and Apple RAM are included in the coverage of the computer with which they are used.

What does "global repair coverage" mean?

You can either go to an Apple retail store or contact Apple for information on how to obtain service. Service will be limited to the options available in the country where service is requested. When I purchase the AppleCare Protection Plan, do I need to register it?

If you purchase your AppleCare Protection Plan and your covered product separately or elsewhere, you will need to register your AppleCare Protection Plan. (More customer reviews)Bought one from the Dell outlet.Core 2 Duo 2ghz and 4g ram.Great for streaming high def media and playing dvds.I use this in my living room and it looks great, doesn't take up much more space than a media player external hard drive.The touch panel is a really cool feature.Smaller than my dvd player.Some minor issues with boxee, but it's still in it's early stages for Windows.Haven't installed Linux yet.Vista home premium is better than I thought it would be, and the media center is pretty cool.Yes you can get more bang for your buck with a small tower but for what I need this is perfect.Most budget pcs won't have hdmi and optical audio out and this seems to be the best deal for a small form factor.Mine came with the restore dvds.Do not buy this for gaming, every review I read clearly states the hardware will not handle gaming well.

UPDATE -- would knock this one down a star after spending a day on the phone with Dell Tech Support in India. The girl seemed to think it was a desktop tower. Wasted my time. Until they come to my house my system lights up yellow and hangs. It's covered by the warranty but I've never had this much trouble with a normal desktop or laptop.

(More customer reviews)The radios by themselves are good, but be careful to read the fine print.The first time I went to use the radios one of them didn't have a full charge on it.No problem, I just used AA batteries.Then we realized we could barely hear each other through the headphones even with the radios turned to max volume.I thought it might be the headphones, but they were very loud when plugged into a friend's radio made by a different company.Midland blamed it on the headphones anyway, but they were not covered under the warranty.So I didn't use the radios again for a few months until we went on another trip and I made sure to place the radio on the charger a day early this time so it would have ample time to charge.Same problem one radio didn't take but half a charge.I contacted Midland on Friday explaining my situation, they got back to me on Wednesday to say there was probably an issue with the battery pack (No duh).I emailed back around 10:30 am and said I figured that much, but how do I correct it.They got back to me on Thursday night saying I needed to buy another battery pack because they are not covered under the warranty either.So what is covered?Turns out not much, not the headphones, not the battery packs, not the charger, not the adapter and not even the antennas.In short if all you need is just the radios and there isn't a problem with them, the radios are OK, but heaven help you if there is a problem with them.It will take forever for someone to tell you that's not covered under the warranty.That large 3 year warranty logo needs to include an even larger asterisk.Radios get 5 stars, everything else including the warranty and service gets 1 star for an average of 3 stars.If I need to buy all new accessories to replace all these defective ones I just bought, maybe I should consider a different brand radio.

Acer AS7741G-7017 17.3-Inch Laptop ( Black) Review

(More customer reviews)I've owned several mid-low end laptops over the years and this one is the best yet. Fast fast fast, I don't notice much difference between my i7 desktop and this. Ofcourse the graphics card isn't as fast as my desktop's (desktop has an HD 5850) but I can't see how you could run anything better without burning up the battery in 10 minutes. I can play Street fighter 4 with mostly everything maxed out except AA, if I add any AA the game slows down to under 40 FPS so it's unplayable. for $800 you can't beat it, and i've always had great luck with acer, i've owned the aspire ONE and a different acer with a 17" screen (which i dropped and broke) The texture on the laptop is a plus too, the smooth shiny stuff on my acer ONE netbook got scratched to hell and looked bad even though it worked perfectly. I definitely recommend this laptop as an entry level gaming laptop. I would NOT buy anything with a less powerful graphics card, this one is just right for a laptop IMO.I noticed very little "bloatware" on this laptop which is always a plus, remember to make the backup DVD ASAP!
