(More customer reviews)I decided to upgrade my E6600 before jumping to Windows 7 this week.The results are amazing.Temps run around 90 degrees F with a Thermaltake MozartTX case (w extra fans) and a Thermaltake hi rise CPU cooler at full load and less than room temperature at idle!
The main advantage for me was in the encoding speed.I regularly use my PC to encode movies for my Archos 7.With the E6600 I was able to encode full resolution h.264 movies at 1250kbps at 25fps using Handbrake.The Q9650 encodes at 98fps.Simply amazing.A good quick drop-in upgrade for those looking to hold off on a i7 upgrade.
