(More customer reviews)Unlike *all* the other manufacturers out there who seem to have been blind-sided by the advent of Windows Vista, this Bluetooth transceiver works right out of the box.

Just be aware that their in-box installation documentation needs to be updated and download their latest drivers from their web site.(Trust me, I have done a lot of research, and none of the other manufacturers have so much as Vista drivers!)

(More customer reviews)I am wondering how long it takes to get in the mindset of looking to see if devices are compatible with Vista BEFORE I buy them and try to install them??

Yes, I just recently got a Vista computer and am not used to it. Most of the programs play nice with Vista, but this one didn't... I tried installing it and ran into errors...it wasn't compatible. The installation finished anyway and I thought maybe it actually did work. I tried to connect to my bluetooth device (cell phone) and it did connect, but then it tried to install the drivers again (it must have bypassed them the first time) and it was pointless. I checked the website and, nope, no Vista drivers.

So now I have a useless $30 dongle and have to try and find one that will work with Vista.

(More customer reviews)I didn't do enough research on the product before I ordered it.It doesn't support the native Windows XP Blue Tooth drivers provided by Microsoft and the drivers provided by Belkin are not 100% compatible with some of the newer Bluetooth devices available.The only way to get it to work at all is to run the full install from the Belkin CD and it disables the Windows Bluetooth services and replaces them with Belkin services rather than just providing a driver that works with the native windows Bluetooth services.This is most likely because this device has been around since before Microsoft released support for Bluetooth technology.It would be nice if Belkin released an updated driver but they haven't..
