(More customer reviews)It was easy to install, has just the ports I needed that were described in the listing: two full-sized IEEE (6-pin) and one little Fire Wire type thing you find on laptops (4-pin). I plugged my Mini-DV camera in and it worked perfectly! Simple product, simple functionality. No complaints.

(More customer reviews)Having migrated to FireWire 800 a while back I suddenly needed to upgrade an older Powerbook hence the need for this cable. I was pleasantly surprised to see that FireWire 400 is still pretty fast in and of itself. The cable worked just as expected, but it is much more flexible than expected, which is very helpful if you need to get around or over other equipment and cables. Overall another great LaCie product.
