(More customer reviews)I bought this to use with a Mac Pro (desktop) and a laptop.The product is designed nicely, but appears to havean incompatibility with the Mac Pro - whenever I'd switch away from the Mac it would crash, and the error report upon booting suggested the crash was happening in an Nvidia driver.Apparently when you switch away the computer loses EDID information from the monitor, then crashes.I tried the competing Belkin model (F1DG102D) and, while about $30 more expensive, it works well (though it does use a power adapter, while the Iogear does not).One other quirk with the Iogear is that when booting the DVD drive would pop open.I'm using a Logitech wireless keyboard mouse combo, perhaps the problem is related, but I don't see this with the Belkin.

(More customer reviews)I had a Matrox parhelia card which permitted gaming on three monitors.It was slow and there were no upgrades.Triplehead is a device that attaches to your current video card so that 3 monitors can be used.Works great for me.I have upgraded video cards twice (nvidia) and have had no problems.You can have 3 separate screens for work or you can spread the images over 3 screens for gaming.FSX and Titan Quest look great over 3 screens.

(More customer reviews)I was glad to find this product as it was the simplest of its kind I could locate online, and I haven't seen any in stores. It holds only a few pieces of paper, however - it won't support a booklet or book, for example. The clipholder sometimes falls off of the velcro that holds it to the computer, but never when I'm actually using it to hold a document. It's a nice feature that the clip swivels to different angles. It folds back out of the way when not needed, and the arm can be removed altogether if needed.

IOGear 2-Port USB KVM Switch with Cables and Remote GCS22U (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)This KVM is fine, IOGear makes pretty good products. I am writing this just to provide a few comparison notes on the few but important differences between this and it's slightly more mature sibling the GCS632U.

1) This KVM does not offer any keyboard shortcut. There is a little wired "remote" connected to the KVM, and you must click the button when you want to change from one machine to the next. This does not seem ideal to me, because your hands must leave the keyboard and I would worry about the clicky switch failing over time. The GCS632U offers a typical "double scroll-lock tap" to change over, and this can be changed to another keypress as desired. I find this works much better than this unit's remote button setup.

2)This KVM has cables that connect to the monitor port and TWO USB ports on each target computer. The GCS632U one-ups this in a neat trick; it combines the keyboard and mouse inputs into ONE USB cable, so it only takes up ONE USB port on each target computer. Very nice, and fewer cables to plug in. This feature alone is actually enough for me to return the GCS22U for the upgraded GCS632U.

3) Last, but not least, the GCS632U adds 1/8" plugs for audio. I personally don't use this, but for those who want to connect a single pc speaker system (or other audio output) to the two target computers, this is a nice feature.

Hope that's helpful. To me, an extra $10 is worth having an extra USB port free on my laptop and other computer! And I much prefer the keyboard shortcut vs the remote button!

I have a CRT front projector (100" screen) and a small 15" LCD panel that both accept VGA signals, I wanted to simply be able to watch all my sources on either of the displays....whether the source was upconverted by a DVDO HD Iscan video processor (DVD, VCR, original Xbox, SEGA Dreamcasr, etc.,), or native HiDef signals (Xbox 360, HDTV Tuner, HD DVD, etc.,) And this switch is fantastic, especially for the price. Highly recommend it to those considering spendng LOTS more money for similar devices..because they don't want the signal degraded.
