D-Link DWL-G650 Wireless Cardbus Adapter, 802.11g, 108Mbps Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this card with a D-Link DI-624 router/WAP; as a pair, they perform flawlessly, and offer the advertised performance, which is on-par with wired Ethernet.
Compatibility of this card with other access points was good in my testing.It connected just fine to all the WAPs I normally use (all of which are B protocol), and offered the expected performance.
The only complaint I have is that I attempted to install the card using the latest drivers from D-Link, downloaded from their web site.Despite carefully matching the hardware revision of my card with the offered download, my attempts to use the card failed.The drivers installed fine, but it would not "sniff" any wireless networks (there were two within range), including one a few feet away.
After uninstalling the downloaded drivers, and using the earlier version supplied on CD with the card, it fired-up just fine, and operated perfectly.
Unfortunately, this is something I've encountered before with D-Link products, both with device drivers (as for this card) and with firmware updates for various D-Link products I've owned.It's not always the best advice to stay fully current on updates, as they occasionally introduce anomalies.If you're technically inclined, this is a minor annoyance that can be dealt with using a combination of patience and judicious back-ups.Average users may not have as much tolerance for this as I do.
With the installation stabilized, I find myself quite satisfied with the DWL-G650, and definitely recommend it -- though less technical users should stick to the drivers on the packaged CD.

(More customer reviews)To mount a 3.5" hard drive in a 5.25" (CD/DVD) bay, this is all you need...and the price is right.You may spend a few minutes trying to figure out which way is up with these guys, but install it as shown in the photo linked to this page, and you'll have no trouble.The *slots* go against the drive, and your screw driver goes through the large oval holes to tighten them down.Then there are 4 machine screw holes on the outer flange to let you mount everything to your case.

Screws are included...If you don't have nimble fingers, you'll probably end up frustrated trying to get them started.It goes without saying that you shouldn't succumb to the temptation to use a magnetic screw driver when installing a hard drive.

Kensington 62210 SaddleBag Pro Computer Carrying Case Review

(More customer reviews)My boss tried to convince me to buy a Saddlebag last year. I ignored him and purchased a Wagnar Swiss Army bag, which was roomy and stylish, and which I promptly lost.

I decided to go for the Saddlebag Pro. I had seen it in stores, liked the size, but disliked the drawer. When it came, it was so much smaller than I remembered (I have a slick case for commutes - the saddlebag is for flying). Luckily, everything unzips, the storage compartment becomes absolutely huge, and the drawer even velcros out and removes completely, leaving two storage compartments tucked away in the bottom.

The folks at Kensington apparently wanted to let people smuggle parrots out of the jungle in this thing. It's massive! I mean, there are tons of places to stick everything! My absolutely monstrous Toshiba (which thinks it wants to be a desktop) fits in easily, with room for textbooks, files, PDA, and everything else I could want to bring (and many things I don't).

Basically, buy the Saddlebag and leave the UHaul at home.

(More customer reviews)First of all. This is an extremely sturdy stand. I have it holding a 24" Widescreen LCD on the left and a 21" LCD on the right. It could fit two 24" but it would be kinda tight (limited arm movement).

Bought from OutletPC. Arrived on the 5th day. Very sturdy packing. Internal packing excellent.

Great instructions for assembly. There are only 3 parts to the stand. The clamp is heavy duty and extremely sturdy. For the price this can't be beat. Uncluttered my desktop and gives so much extra desk space.

HOWEVER, you MUST follow the directions. Even as simple as wiping your screen sounds, they give you specific steps to take in doing so. It even specifies if you see residue, you did it wrong. I swear by this stuff.

(More customer reviews)i am an avid gamer, gaming anywhere from 5-12 hours a day. my mouse pad is VERY important. i used to use the steelpad 4-d. it was nice but lost all its abrasive side making it too smooth for my mx518. I bought some new mouse feet and this. it works amazing. i put my keyboard on it so it doesnt slide around anymore. the pad allows for very precise aiming. though i STILL run out of room sometimes but that may be my fault because i am a low sensitivity shooter. the biggest problem with this mat is that it LOVES lint/hair/dust. i am always blowing cat hair (and my hair) out of the optical area of the mouse. the best thing i found to clean this is to get a lint roller and lightly go over the pad. but do not go over the edges! like a rug, going over the edges starts to loosen the stitching and would eventually make the mat start falling apart. the mat is very useful otherwise.

glide: depends on sensitivity of gamer. for low - 9/10
size: HUGE. biggest out there. 7/10
crafting: durable. washes well if something spills (like toothpaste) 8/10
value: biggest selling point of the pad. 25 bucks is CHEAP - 10/10
mobility: for lans may be too big - 5/10

Sennheiser BW 900 Lightweight Wireless Bluetooth Headset for Phone/Mobile Review

(More customer reviews)This unit has some features that are superior to others I looked at.

1)The size.
The mouth piece is actually near to your mouth. I am able to talk at a normal volume and the sound level and quality of sound on the other is great. I have had other head sets with a smaller foot print where this is not the case at all. Even though this headset is not ugly is does not have the 'cool' factor that some of the smaller sets semm to go after. If function is more important to you than form, this is your headset.

2)Works with both the office phone and cell phone.
And does a great job with both. I still have to stop and concentrate when I move from one phone to the other but I'm getting near the end of the learning curve. I LOVE eliminating one device. I spend 30-40% of my week out of the office. Wireless in the office is so helpful no closeing the headset wire in drawers or getting it burried under files. With its extened range any multi tasker will increase their productivity.

3) Comfort
The head set is very comfortable. For me to say that is rare. I have never been able to stand "ear buds". Any head set that offers interchangeable earpieces has not used my ear for the mold. This speaker rests against not in your ear and works beautifully. I actually do forget I have it on.

4)Desktop charging ststion.
I handle lot of files & misc projects on my desk. I've destroyed at least 4 wired headsets. When looking for a wireless hesd set, most seem to hae a weak footprint, that I know would always be subject to being knocked over. The Sennheiser is completely stable. This part of the unit has an "office cool" factor to it. It looks, functions and feels like quality

For any one in business the productivity enhansement of this headset justifies the price.

Misc. The noise cancellation feature works great. I have been driving and had the person on the other end of the call asked if I wase still there because of the slience. I never set up the voice dialing feature on my cell phone. When I paired the Bw900 it woke up the feature and I use it all the time now. My previous Jabra headset did not do this. Battery life is better than my cell phone. Never the less I plan to order a apare battery because I would hate to be with out this head set after a day in the field because of the battery and the base station has a charging slot for the spare.

Quad LCD Monitor stand Fully adjustable New Review

(More customer reviews)I have been looking for a stand to mount my monitors on my desk. I have 2 23" monitors on the bottom and 2 22" on the top and the mount holds them with no problem.You don't need to buy on of those $200+ stands.This one clamps on to the edge of the desk and only takes about 30 minutes to get all the monitors set up on it.

Shipping was fast, but had to send an email to the seller to get tracking number.

There are four pivot points on each arm so that you will be able to place each monitor where you want it you can actually place the monitors side by side unlike what the picture shows.

I am very satisfied with this stand and would recommend to anyone how wants to run four monitors. I also believe that you could mount 4 24" monitors as long as you don't exceed the 13 lbs. limit for each arm.It looks like there is enough room after I mounted my 23: monitors to hold a 24" monitor.

(More customer reviews)This camera is worth buying in this price range for people who generally use Windows Live products (messenger, etc) and normally do basic web cam sessions with a resolution no greater than 640 x 480. If you'd like to do full screen video using other software like Skype, you'll want to get a higher end Microsoft camera or something like the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 (my favorite).I've been using the Quickcam Pro 9000 for the past year and have really liked it, however, it seems to be at least double the price of this MS camera. One downside to this Microsoft camera is that the microphone can be a bit faint and the sound can be a bit off.That said, unless you have high expectations for crystal clear web cam chats, then I can certainly recommend this camera for people mainly interested in ease of use with Windows Live Messenger and other Instant Messaging programs.It was easy to install and is extremely easy to use.I recorded this video in 320x240 resolution using the included software.
