Now it acts like the pro machine I expected, handling aperture, lightroom, photoshop, etc with ease.
This is the 'right' type of RAM with the heatsinks, fully buffered, etc. that are needed for the mac pro. It actually didn't look too different than the RAM chips pre-installed by apple. I've purchased a lot of Kingston RAM upgrades over the years, never had a problem. Easy to install on your own, and will save you $$ over the apple store.
