(More customer reviews)The AcomData USB 3.0 enclosure replaced the standard WD My-Book USB 2.0 enclosure that came with a WD 2GB external hard drive.I removed the drive from the My-Book and inserted it into the AcomData enclosure.Had to Quick-Reformat the drive before I could use it because of the weird way that My-Book manages the drive.The USB 3.0 interface is much faster; I can write backups to the same hard drive in one-third the time compared to USB 2.0 .
I have an INEO USB 3.0 enclosure with another WD 2GB drive, but it has no air vents and runs quite hot. The AcomData enclosure has air vents and runs cool.I'm going to order another AcomData enclosure to replace the INEO.
