(More customer reviews)I managed two workstations that each had five of these drive in a RAID 10 configuration.The one machine performed computer simulations 24/7 for two continuous years.The other machine was an engineer's workstation.There was not a single failure of the 10 drives.When announced, these drives were the fastest available for the SATA interface.At a 10,000 rpm spindle speed, the drive does generate heat, however a fan-cooled drive cage was all that was required.The drive is not completely quiet, but neither is it obnoxiously loud.With the noise from the Opterons' cooling fans, the drive noise was a moot point.This drive was a proven performer and I have nothing but good things to say about it.
