(More customer reviews)I didn't buy one of these from Amazon. I've had one for about ten years. It's a tried and true design around since the 80s. It's outlasted monitors from 15" to 21" with no real bother. I have no real fear of moving the monitor about or shaking my (heavy) desk a little. One note is to have a strong desk. Mine is 2" thick laminate. Remember that you are holding 50 or so pounds on a lever by just a few square inches of desk. Particle board need not apply. My arm has been through three such particle board desks early in it's history. Tore the corner clean off of one desk after a 19" Viewsonic sat on it for a few months. This was all years ago (I got the desk about 7 years ago), so you could use this information as a note to the product's durability.
