(More customer reviews)I've been very happy with my Seagate drive. Perhaps the best thing about Seagate drives, next to their reputation for reliability, is their drivers. They're very well laid out and user friendly. They walk you through the entire process of installing and setting up your drive. They help you format and partition with a breeze and will even enable your OS to read hard drives larger than 137GB for you. They make everything so simple and clear that I could easily imagine someone who's never even looked inside their own computer installing one of these drives with little difficulty.

My only real issues with the drive are two things. First, It's rather loud. I have a Maxtor drive in the same computer and I've never heard anything but the fainest whisper from it. The Seagate drive sounds like an old woman scraping nails across a pearl necklace every time it writes new data. Second, about 25GB seems to be missing from the drive. I know drives usually have a small portion thats inaccessible, but 25GB seems like a lot even for a 400GB drive
