I have had this printer for over a year and I am very happy with it's performance. I have had no paper jams and the labels are easy to order.
The scale sometimes does not show a reading but by clicking again, it will work

The few times I have had technical questions, the techs at Dymo are very knowledgable, courteous and patient.

I was so happy with its performance that when my business expanded, I purchased another one.

I bought this card about a year ago for my 2008 Mac Pro and it's been working fine, even though the official line is that a 2009 Mac Pro is required. No problems even after adding a second monitor, one on mini Display Port and one on DVI.

Brother PT9500PC P-touch Desktop Label Maker Review

Brother PT9500PC P-touch Desktop Label Maker
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've had numerous P-Touch models over the years, and I think the output they produce is superb. The software for the Mac, on the other hand, has lagged far behind its Windows counterpart. Older versions of the software, in particular, had problems with anything except TrueType fonts.

Now I see that Brother finally released version 5 of the software for OS X. I downloaded it and was pleasantly surprised to see that it had an entirely different, more Mac-like interface, and it handled all of my fonts just fine. I was quite pleased until I tried to use some of my OTHER programs.

It seems that if you uninstall the older version of the software before installing this one--something Brother tells you to do in the instructions--IT WILL WIPE OUT FILES USED BY OTHER PROGRAMS! So far the uninstaller has trashed Office 2008, Acrobat Pro, Adobe Reader, iWork '08, Adobe Creative Suite CS3 and OmniOutliner. It's hard to tell what others might be affected as well. I ended up having to do a clean reinstall of my system, which was NOT a small task.

So, buy the printer if you like, but BEWARE the uninstaller!

I have windows XP and ordered this PCI card. I opened up my PC box, took out the old creative sound blaster from its PCI slot and slid in the Iogear USB 2.0 PCI card. I booted up my computer and voila! XP automatically detected the card and I have my mouse connected to one of the 4 exposed external USB ports. Its working and no problems encountered at all.

Note that there are 4 slots exposed externally, and 1 is an internal USB slot.

Eikon Digital Privacy Manager - Fingerprint reader - USB Review

Eikon Digital Privacy Manager - Fingerprint reader - USB
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have tried the Microsoft, APC, Dell, and Omnipass fingerprint readers.

While the hardware is mediocre, the software is garbage.

Vista support is rare, Vista x64 support is ubelievably rare, and Windows 2008 support is non-existant.

Microsoft's own fingerprint reader wont properly support Windows Server 2008 or 64 bit.

On the other handm the Eikon /Upek solution is fantastic.

The hardware is made from aluminum instead of plastic and has a nice sturdy feel. However its the software that makes this solution stand out as "best of breed"

Not only does it support 64 bit and Vista and Windows 2008 Server, but it supports 2 factor and 3 factor authentication as well.

When you run the software, your first impression is WOW. The user experience is fantastic. It installs perfectly, its very intuitive and is very visually appealing.

It looks and feels like they really spent a lot of time on polishing the sofware.

If you are looking for a fingerprint solution, this is it.

Im so happy with my purchase that I just threw out my Microsoft and APC readers and I deleted my Omnipass software(that I had to pay extra for)

My new christmas wish is to get this reader built-in to a keyboard for my office PC.

Bottom line: I give it 12 out of 10. I bonus point for broad OS support and 1 bonus point for "exceeding expectations"

Toshiba PA1390U-1NKP Slim USB Numeric Keypad with 2-Port USB Hub Review

Toshiba PA1390U-1NKP Slim USB Numeric Keypad with 2-Port USB Hub
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Here's a quick version of my thoughts:It has extra keys that make the plus and zero keys the size of most other keys instead of their typical double size, the keys are harder to press than your typical laptop keys, and there's a disconcerting warning about lead. However, it's thin, looks nice and simple, has keys that feel more like those on a standard keyboard, and, most importantly, is a keypad!I like it a lot, and it's worlds better than any way of entering numbers on a numpadless laptop keyboard. And now, the gory details:

All the usual keys are there, but the designer seemed to think it would be a good idea to stick in two extra keys, cutting two others down to standard size in the process. If you get used to using the new backspace key instead of flipping your hand over to the main keyboard for all your error correction needs, I think it could be quite helpful. However, it takes over the minus key's usual spot, forcing it down to where the top half of the plus key should be.This took me a bit of getting used to, but if you're used to Mac keyboards, you'll be right at home. The other new key has only two purposes:to enter three zeros with a single keystroke, and to replace the right half of the normal zero/insert key.I don't think either purpose is very good, but hey.

Next up is that lead warning that another reviewer mentioned. It was a bit disconcerting, but I'm lazily hoping it's a warning along the lines of cancerous things in California and nut-free candy made in factories that use peanuts. But if you're concerned about this sort of thing, it's probably better to save yourself the trouble and do without.

As far as the general look and feel are concerned, I really like this thing. The tops of the keys only sit about 2cm above the surface the pad's sitting on, yet they depress about as far as a full-sized keyboard's would. If you've gotten into laptop keyboard mode, they feel like they require a lot of extra effort to press, but they feel pretty good otherwise. The only real oddity with the key pressing is that the numlock key doesn't toggle unless you let go of it within half a second.I have no idea what purpose that could serve, but there you go.The whole thing feels solidly built, and it doesn't have bulky protrusions and LCD screens all over the place. The two USB ports up top (which are great for my 3-port laptop) hold on very well to the devices you feed them.I usually have a wireless mouse receiver hooked up to one, and I've had no problems after attaching a bluetooth receiver or a printer to the remaining port.Other reviewers have had power-related problems, though, so if you have really hungry devices, plug them directly into your computer instead, if you can. Finally, it is a corded device, and the cord is about two and a half feet long.Plenty long unless you intend to use it as a remote control or want to use it with a desktop computer that's not on your desktop.I usually plug it into the left side of my laptop with the cord running around the back, and there's lots of slack left in it.

That's all I can think of.If you need a keypad and want something thin and clean-looking, this should do the trick.
