(More customer reviews)I own 4 sets of these MS16 powered speakers. To me, they sound better than their big brother the MS40. I use the MS16's for: Laptop, Notebook, CD and DVD players, and Keyboards. I will sometimes use these over my Phonic 740 set up to accompany my drumming practice. (Unless it's a Jam session, and then bigger is always better)
If you are just looking for some small powered speakers for you room or a small space, look into the Eagle Tech ET-AR302-BK's at $20.00; the sound is great, and they are about 1/3 the size and cost of the MS16's.
I would buy more MS16's if needed, but would not buy another MS40 set. The problem with speakers, is like any other piece of audio equipment; it's up to the individuals preference and ear.
Oh, by the way, I just bought another EagleTech set just to have them on hand.
