(More customer reviews)This is a very good mic for general desktop use. However, the electret element is too cheap and tinny for serious recording.
I suggest performing a simple mod to replace the element with any other good pc microphone. Open the mic stem, remove the electret element, and replace it with a $.99 1/8in phono jack. Now you can plug your best pc microphone into it, and it will sound better than ever. As a matter of fact, it sounds way better than any USB pod I've used!!!
I use it with Visual Communicator pro and the microphone that comes in the box. My presentations sound like commercial quality.
