(More customer reviews)The P2370HD is an exceptional monitor for people with modest demands of their display. On the plus side, it has very good colour for a TN-type panel (more on this in a second), absolutely fantastic connection options, one of te fastest displays in current availability and a bright, vibrant picture which is only offset by a merely-average black level and some backlight bleed with extremely dark images (helped by Dynamic Contrast but not in all situations). It lacks a pivot, a terrible omission, but is still fairly stable on its (non-adjustable) base. It connects to 4:3 and 16:9 sources, even composite and component SD sources, as well as HDMI, DVI and VGA sources (but DualLink DVI-D is strongly advised), and the 1920x1080 native resolution is perfect for 16:9 movies and BluRay.

Thus, if you simply need a very good TV or home computer display, stop reading now and get out your credit card. However, this is only a *fair* monitor for professional photo or graphics work. Like all TN displays, it suffers from slight but significant changes in gamma when viewed more than a few degrees off-axis, and even at 6500 K has a teensy pink tinge which can be compensated for with good colour calibration, but with a corresponding reduction in gamut. Despite sRGB's 2.2 gamma, this monitor performs much better closer to 1.8 or to its native gamma of 2.7+. There is also faint banding on grey ramp tests which is to be expected from a 6-bit display, again compensatable by compressing the dynamic range, but then it also takes away from the contrast range the monitor has to offer. Incidentally, don't use Dynamic Contrast when connected to your PC or Mac, it's really very distracting. Adjust the contrast and brightness yourself.

Note that all of the things I've complained about will go completely unnoticed by probably 90% of customers and this monitor outperforms a great many lesser displays which show problems similar to this much worse, which is why I gave it the four-star rating. However, for the 10% of us who need a colour-perfect display and can tolerate a slightly slower speed, an IPS panel would be strongly advised, even for a display that is (for a TN) as good as this one. While I'm keeping mine to use as -- surprise! -- a television set, I'll be buying an IPS panel for my photo work. But everybody else will love it.

Quad LCD Monitor stand Fully adjustable New Review

I have 2 23" monitors on the bottom and 2 22" on the top and the mount holds them with no problem.You don't need to buy on of those $200+ stands.This one clamps on to the edge of the desk and only takes about 30 minutes to get all the monitors set up on it.

Shipping was fast, but had to send an email to the seller to get tracking number.

There are four pivot points on each arm so that you will be able to place each monitor where you want it you can actually place the monitors side by side unlike what the picture shows.

I am very satisfied with this stand and would recommend to anyone how wants to run four monitors. I also believe that you could mount 4 24" monitors as long as you don't exceed the 13 lbs. limit for each arm.It looks like there is enough room after I mounted my 23: monitors to hold a 24" monitor.

When I bought this monitor on HP official site, there was only one review on the HP site and no review on newegg or amazon. The only review back then on the HP siteis a 1-star review, complaining about hardware detection problem. This 1-star review really got me nervous. However, I really needed a HD monitor for my recently bought xbox 360 and decided to trust HP (I believed that the 1-star reviewer might've just got a broken one unluckily) and give a shot to this monitor with such good advertised stats.

It turns out that this monitor is great. I received the monitor 2 weeks ago, and waited until now to write a review just because I want to be fair and want to try it for a period of time. Now I want you guys to know that, if you want a monitor with maxed out resolution and great visual effects, and at the same time want to save money as much as possible. This is the right one for you.

If you are into games then you know what a fast response time means. It means less video tearing and faster black to black. My last monitor was 8ms and I thought that it was perfect. Now with this one I am very impressed.

Samsung B2230 22-Inch Widescreen LCD Monitor - Glossy Black Review

(More customer reviews)This is my third Samsung PC LCD, owning both a 22" 1680x1050 226BW for over three years and a 25.5" 1920x1200 T260 for a year (had a bad 22" and got it replaced - the 226BW reviewed here January 19, 2008). Anyway, I bought the B2230 for a 3-LCD gaming rig setup. If it could be done over, I'd have bought another monitor, specifically the P2250, which I'll buy for the 3rd LCD to complete the setup.

First, the pixel pitch on this monitor is about the same as the 22" and 25.5" (.28xxx mm - the P2250 has .24xxx pixel density - more pixel density = better display quality). I was hoping for a little sharper clarity for a 1920x1080 resolution monitor in this size, especially considering the 25.5" shares nearly the same pixel density over 4" more of screen real estate. The 25.5" is as clear as the 21.5" in website text and the holy grail of display quality for me: cockpit instrument readability in Microsoft Flight Simulator X. There is of course a sharpness option on the menu, but it just doesn't help much for what I was expecting.

With that said, it's still an okay monitor for the average user. It's a few pounds lighter than the 22" and runs very cool. The touch menu options and feel are pretty standard for Samsung. People new to Samsung's PC LCDs may find the front bezel touch "buttons" awkward and hard to work with, but it sure beats trying to deal with Samsung's buttons on the side and bottom of my other two monitors blindly. Similarly, the gloss bezel may be a put-off to some and definitely is a dust and fingerprint magnet. But I like the gloss - it appears to be the norm these days from manufacturers and matches everything else in the house TV/monitor wise. No red "touch of color" here to match the gorgeous T260, but it still looks good on the desk. The mount does allow for tilt, but as so typical in this price range, no height adjustment.

Finally, the brightness of this monitor needs to be toned way down out of the box, to less than 60%. You will be spending some time calibrating this to your liking. All in all for those who want a run-of-the-mill 21.5" LCD that's 1080p capable, this is an acceptable monitor, but as mentioned, not recommended for those who appreciate higher pixel density output. Think of this LCD as the Enterprise rental Buick of 1080p Samsung monitors: it serves the purpose and grandpa thinks it's awesome, but not something to brag about to friends.

(More customer reviews)My 19-inch Hyundai monitor died last week after four years (failed circuit board - not economical to repair), so I needed a replacement.The old monitor was SXGA (1280x1024), and I was hoping to move up to HD (1920x1080).However, my graphics chips won't support HD resolution, and my power supply won't support a new graphics card.So I confined my search to SXGA-class monitors.This one caught my eye, mostly because of the LED backlight (no CCFL to burn out) and claimed energy efficiency (15 watts, compared to 45 watts for the deceased Hyundai).It's not exactly SXGA, being slightly wider and shorter (1440x900).The total pixel count is about 1% less than SXGA, so I didn't think I'd be sacrificing much.Now that I have the monitor, I must say that I'm not sacrificing anything.The screen is much brighter and clearer than the old one, and when the monitor wakes up there's no warm-up time (CCFLs normally take a couple of minutes to get up to full brightness).Colors are vivid, and whites seem more white than with CCFL.I wanted to verify the power consumption, so I tested it with my Kill-A-Watt meter.It registered 14 watts - even better than the manufacturer's claims.I can't vouch for the quality of the internal speakers, as I use external speakers.But as a monitor I give it highest marks.
