(More customer reviews)Purchased this monitor as part of a bundle with an Emachines system @ Circuit City.The monitor has a great picture and comes with JBL Platinum Speakers and built in microphone.While I'm not a fan of built in mic's this one works OK.The speakers are powered and need to be manually turned on and off via the volume control.They can be hung on the side of the monitor or they also can be put on the desktop with supplied stands.They sound pretty good but sound distorted at higher levels.They are a huge step up from the supplied e-machines speakers that came with the CPU though.Controls are easy to use and all cables and such are provided....

SAMSUNG P2370 23-Inch LCD Monitor Review

I have to admit, I was a bit concerned about purchasing this online, virtually sight unseen.I went to Best Buy and saw the 20" version of this display and wasn't overly pleased, but then realized that the demo Best Buy had running on the monitor was not in the model's native resolution.So I came home and after a couple of days of deliberation with myself I took the plunge and bought this from Amazon.The display is a cinch to assemble.I've read some reviews where people have had great difficulty putting the stand together then attaching the stand to the monitor itself.This simply is not the case.Everything is keyed (all you have to do is pay attention to the carved out notches) and slid together very easily, no difficulty at all."Professional" reviews have indicated that the monitor is very wobbly.This is the case to an extent, but it takes a fair jolt to get this monitor to tip.In all practicality who is going to be hitting the monitor with their hand anyway trying to get it to tip over.Perhaps a good earthquake, a running child or clumsy oaf is needed.

Buyers will definitely want to take some time to calibrate the monitor.I am currently running Windows 7 RC1 so some calibration tools are included that don't come in previous versions of Windows (including Vista, that I have found anyway).A Google search for "monitor calibration" will help aid in this process."Professional" reviews have indicated that gray colors are not represented correctly, taking on a "yellowish hue."Out of the box using default settings this seemed to be the case (you'll see what I mean if you open a picture using Windows Photo Viewer, maximize the window and notice the color of the border surrounding the image), and using the monitor color profile that ships with the LCD (which Adobe Photoshop CS3 reports as being corrupted), but after customizing the monitor settings and getting a new color profile generated by Windows 7, this color turned from the "yellowish" hue to a light blue color as was displayed by my previous LCD (this of course is based on my current color scheme found in Windows 7).

Games play flawlessly, with good color, picture quality and vibrancy.No bleeding or blur with this 2ms response time display. The monitor includes presets for gaming, but if you calibrate the monitor properly this seems to be unneeded.Your mileage may vary depending on personal preference, but using in-game settings with brightness, contrast etc. can help get the job done.Games I tested in 1920x1080 were Crysis, the Half-Life 2 series, Far Cry 2, Unreal Tournament III, Stalker: Clear Sky, Street Fighter IV Benchmark (now available for download) and Bejeweled Twist.All played perfectly, again no blur or bleeding.I tested out a HD copy of "The Dark Knight" with no issues, perfect clarity in all respects.Some complaints (again from "professional" reviews) state that there is some white light bleed-through at the top edge of the screen on dark pictures.I found this to be very minor and not distracting at all.My desktop wallpaper images are native to 1920x1080 which is crisp and clear, so you'll probably want to find some HD or widescreen wallpapers for your viewing pleasure.

Settings for the monitor I have found to be optimal (at least for myself) are as follows:

It may also be advantageous to use the ClearType technology built into Windows (MacOS probably has something similar), again personal preference so your mileage may vary.Windows 7 is a bit more extensive in customizing ClearType than prevoius versions of Windows.

I am very pleased with this monitor and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality display at a reasonable price.

Some monitors I've seen have a low refresh rate, but you won't have that problem with this monitor.I use it at 1600x1200 resolution and the refresh rate is 85 Hz.No flicker there :)The only minuses I can think of are the 2 very very faint horizontal lines in the screen but that cant be helped since its an aperature grill and that the monitor is big.But hey, if you're buying a 21" monitor, you'd expect it to be big right?Buy this monitor and you won't be disappointed.

If the screen is totally black there is a little light leak at the top and bottom, but it's not noticeable once any type of picture is being displayed. It also does a fair job displaying at other resolutions when you switch from the native 1920x1080. The sound comes from only one speaker, but it is adequate for most of the stuff you do on a computer (dinks, donks, buzzes and simple dialog). If you want to listen to music I would recommend going with external speakers. The only other rub is although you can tilt the screen it doesn't go up and down, but hey...It only cost me $179 for a 1920X1080 monitor. Keep in mind that it also has HDMI and came with the feaking HDMI cable....NICE! Why these cables cost $30 in Wal-mart for the cheep ones is beyond me?????? All in all a definite 2 thumbs up!

(More customer reviews)The NEC MultiSync LCD 1760V monitor is an excellent choice if you are considering an LCD monitor.In case you didn't know, NEC-Mitsubishi Display Systems, the manufacturer, is one of the first companies to produce LCD monitors, so they really know what they are doing.The LCD screen itself measures... you guessed it... 17 inches diagonally, and the image is sharp and bright even at 70% brightness and 50% contrast.The native resolution is 1280x768; if you think you'll get eye strains at this level, don't worry: the monitor comes with a free downloaded copy of Liquid View, which makes Windows easier to look at.
Setup was a total breeze for me.I just took the monitor out of the box, hooked up the power and monitor cables, and turned it on.NEC's exclusive automatic adjustment immediately set the contrast and brightness to my liking.The only adjustment you may need to make is on the PC itself: according to an instruction sheet taped to the monitor, you should set the display adapter to 1280x1024 at 60Hz.
The 1760V is stylish in either black or white.Because it's made in China, the plastic does feel a little "cheap" when you inspect it up-close.Thankfully the LCD screen itself is top-notch.No dead pixels, no ghosting, no pulsating spots as with offerings from off-brands like KDS or Cornea.
My only complaint is the control buttons on the monitor have nearly invisible markings.Of course, the automatic adjustment feature means you probably won't have to tinker with the monitor controls, but NEC should have labeled them more clearly.Contrary to what one reviewer claims, the manual *does* mention the buttons and what they do, in a table on p. 7.The buttons are responsive and easy to press, which is an improvement over some previous models.The setup interface is pretty straightforward, although first-timers may need to refer to the manual to see which buttons control what.
In summary, another excellent product from NEC-Mitsubishi.If you want a 17-inch LCD, be sure to get this affordable, high-quality one.

(More customer reviews)My 24" Acer LCD died a few weeks ago, so I went to Fry's Electronics to browse the selection.It's been a few years since I researched LCD's, and I'm happy to report that the technology has come a long way!The HP 2709m exemplifies this beautifully.After owning and using this monitor daily for the last two weeks, I've decided to write a review for it.Here are my thoughts on the monitor:

* 27" - huge!

* Great contrast

* Great colors

* Reflective-coating (not sure what the technical name is) - turns the monitor into a bit of a mirror, but also sharpens the colors tremendously versus matte-finish LCD's so to me it's worth a bit of on-screen reflection

* Reasonable response time.Aside from working and web-surfing, I also play FPS games (e.g. Crysis) and watch movies on this monitor; I've been satisfied with the pixel response time.Ghosting is non-existent, though LCD monitors can't hold a candle to traditional CRT monitors when comparing image stability on fast-moving objects.For instance, when a camera pans the background in a movie, or when you spin your character around in a video game, just like all LCD's, there is some blurring (not ghosting, there is a difference).

* Built-in Speakers - I haven't used them, but they are there if I ever need them.

* No annoying LED's - you can turn off the power LED on the front of the monitor so that there is no annoying LED blasting you in the eyes like many LCD monitors seem to have.This is especially nice when watching a movie in a dark room - the only thing lit up on the monitor is the screen itself.

* Ambient Light Sensor - automatically adjusts the brightness of the monitor to the brightness of the ambient lighting in your room. For instance, if you are using the monitor in a dark room, the brightness is automatically decreased so that your eyes don't fry (likewise, in a bright room, the monitor brightens the back-light).This feature can be disabled; I have it turned off because I prefer a fairly dark monitor relative to what the monitor's designers must prefer, especially when reading onscreen text.The only thing I would change would be to add a user-selectable base-level for the ambient light sensor so that it can properly adjust to the environment using the viewer's personal preference as the base level.

* The stand is solid and has a small footprint.

* The look and finish is understated, glossy and bares few labels.Very nice.

Overall, I am impressed and give this monitor a full five stars.

Samsung P2370HD 23-Inch Full 1080p HDTV LCD Monitor - Black Rose Review

(More customer reviews)The P2370HD is an exceptional monitor for people with modest demands of their display. On the plus side, it has very good colour for a TN-type panel (more on this in a second), absolutely fantastic connection options, one of te fastest displays in current availability and a bright, vibrant picture which is only offset by a merely-average black level and some backlight bleed with extremely dark images (helped by Dynamic Contrast but not in all situations). It lacks a pivot, a terrible omission, but is still fairly stable on its (non-adjustable) base. It connects to 4:3 and 16:9 sources, even composite and component SD sources, as well as HDMI, DVI and VGA sources (but DualLink DVI-D is strongly advised), and the 1920x1080 native resolution is perfect for 16:9 movies and BluRay.

Thus, if you simply need a very good TV or home computer display, stop reading now and get out your credit card. However, this is only a *fair* monitor for professional photo or graphics work. Like all TN displays, it suffers from slight but significant changes in gamma when viewed more than a few degrees off-axis, and even at 6500 K has a teensy pink tinge which can be compensated for with good colour calibration, but with a corresponding reduction in gamut. Despite sRGB's 2.2 gamma, this monitor performs much better closer to 1.8 or to its native gamma of 2.7+. There is also faint banding on grey ramp tests which is to be expected from a 6-bit display, again compensatable by compressing the dynamic range, but then it also takes away from the contrast range the monitor has to offer. Incidentally, don't use Dynamic Contrast when connected to your PC or Mac, it's really very distracting. Adjust the contrast and brightness yourself.

Note that all of the things I've complained about will go completely unnoticed by probably 90% of customers and this monitor outperforms a great many lesser displays which show problems similar to this much worse, which is why I gave it the four-star rating. However, for the 10% of us who need a colour-perfect display and can tolerate a slightly slower speed, an IPS panel would be strongly advised, even for a display that is (for a TN) as good as this one. While I'm keeping mine to use as -- surprise! -- a television set, I'll be buying an IPS panel for my photo work. But everybody else will love it.

HP 2159M 21.5-Inch HD LCD Monitor Review

(More customer reviews)I wouldn't call myself very tech savvy, but you don't have to be to know that you purchased a good lcd monitor.I really can't compare it to other hd monitors since this is the only one I own.I previously owned a 17 inch lcd, which I used for typical computer tasks and gaming.I'll give my pros and cons on the HP 2159m:

Pros:-Full HD, HDMI and DVI
-1920x1080 resolution, very high for a display under $300.
-Wide viewing angle is great for movies.
-Integrated speakers
-Great for gaming, I used my Xbox 360 on it.You get up 1080p.
-VGA is actually very good.I tried my PC(1920x1080 60Hz) and
it impressed me.

Cons:-Speakers don't have such great sound.
-The glossy screen is a bit reflective, but not a big problem.

Once you own this monitor, you will find many things you like about it and some things you don't.But what can I say?I didn't buy the monitor for the intergrated speakers, I use my own speakers.The glossy screen is a bit reflective in dark backgrounds, I hardly notice it at times.They're just minor things.If your thinking of upgrading, do it.It's worth the $200+ you'll pay.

Dell S2409W 24-Inch LCD Widescreen Monitor Review

(More customer reviews)I am using this monitor on an Apple early 2009 series 13" Aluminum Macbook via an AppleMiniDisplayPort->DVI adapter and the supplied DVI cable.The monitor is flawless (no dead pixels), crisp, bright and looks great at its full 1920x1080 resolution in millions of colors.Its response time is fast even with the Macbook driving both its internal screen at 1280x800 as well as this display.

This monitor allows me to use my Macbook as my sole machine (used to have a 24" iMac on my desk which was great but keeping multiple machines in sync is always a pain).I have not had to make any adjustments to the screen and its great for business use as well as viewing movies and pictures.

Thanks DELL - this is a great monitor regardless of price and the fact its such high quality at such a low price point makes it an exceptional value.

(More customer reviews)This is a great monitor -- well thought out, great ergonomics, excellent color reproduction, and of course, a spectacular field of view, thanks to the premium IPS screen.I can look at this screen from virtually any angle without color shifts or brightness changes.

Don't believe the reviews that complain about dimness problems...I don't know what kind of retina-searing technology people are looking for, but this monitor is actually a bit brighter than the LED-backlit screen on my MacBook, which is itself a fairly bright screen.I run them both side-by-side, and I couldn't be happier with the pairing.I've had no complaints about image quality, whatsoever.

Aside from the quality of the panel, this monitor has lots of nice little touches that I demand from a "pro" monitor:a 5-inch height adjust (ESSENTIAL for me, as I'm over six feet tall); the ability to pivot the screen 180 degrees; a wide, stable stand; and a minimalist design.This is not one of those cheap-looking, shiny plastic monstrosities that you'll find at Costco -- the bezel is thin and unobtrusive, and the buttons are tasteful and small.It's no Cinema Display, but it's as nice a design as you'll find without shelling out twice the cash. (Alas!)

My complaints are minor:the controls are a bit goofy to use, and more thought could have been put into the on-screen display.Also, I'd love a version of the display with an LED backlight.Other than that, I think it's a great buy.Highly recommended to anyone who appreciates the quality improvements given by an IPS display.

(More customer reviews)I used a 19inch Samsung HDTV Ln-1954H as a computer monitor. The desktop, icons, graphics, games- everything seemed to be extra bright. Ive used an Acer monitor, NEC, as well as a Mac and found none of those to be as bright. 2 years later, I upgraded to this Viewsonic. I had been over the search engine trying to find hands-on articles, reviews, pictures, and Ive found mixed reviews. A few reviews cited a bleed (light/glow appearing around the edges of the LCD), bleached colors, and a wobbly stand. While the stand, in my opinion, is stable enough (provided you fasten it to the neck or can be mounted on wall) the monitor is fine [notice I make no mention of the audio function]. After the brighter-than-normal colors on the Samsung, I find the so called bleached colors are welcome. When playing a video disk, the colors are seem normal- although a user can adjust the color temperature on the OnScreen Display. A user can also use the manual controls through a video card suite like ATI Catalyst Control Center or the NVidia equivalent.
A nice quality of the this Viewsonic makes everything look sharp- the Windows Start button in Windows7 looks sharper, the Windows logo in Office2007 does too. Adobe Creative Suite looks as sharp as it should on a Mac (although proper color adjustments are still necessary for graphic work). Games look sharp, there is no ghosting, thanks to the 1MS response time. My brother had noticed a increase in the amount of detail that the Viewsonic shows over my old Samsung.
Hooked up to a HDMI switcher, a game console also looks nice on this machine. The PS3 XMB looks sharp, Blu-Rays seem better (although the increase in the screen size also helps here), even the Earth visualization in the music player seems a whole lot better. An AT&T cable box, connected via HDMI, looks nice too. Upscaling on the HD channels as well as the native upscaling on a capable computer and game console keeps a good image quality. Nothing seems stretched. Now I must mention this: Using a HDMI cable to connect a HD monitor/HDTV to a computer, cable/sat box, game console is recommended to preserve the screen aspect! If you use anything less the image quality will be significantly reduced.

While the bleed is noticeable- it is no different that my Samsung or other monitors Ive used. Sure, it may be noticeable while watching a movie but it is not a show stopper. Ive watched several movies already and have not noticed it.
The sound is another issue. While HDMI cables support -of course- video they also support audio. This monitor supports Dolby something or another but the audio quality is horrible. Sounds like the monitor has metal cans around the speakers. There is volume control in the OSD but I recommend it on mute, adjust your computer default playback device to computer speakers, and get a Windows Media Center compatible remote like a Gyration GYR3101US. Finding a good balance with the monitor's volume and the volume of your box or console is difficult. While Comcast had a volume control for its HD box, AT&T does not. A PS3 has a volume control for music and video disks but not for games. Even then, the PS3 volume contorl is not that advanced or helpful.
If you connect a game console or cable/sat box: use a theater system. With the monitor's audio quality so bad I would say there are no or very few other options.

Would I recommend this product?
I like it but there is room for improvement. While this monitor performs well by simply displaying your desktop and windows, showing graphics and games with nothing but praise, and increases the amount of workspace to have plenty of windows open- I would recommend it for the family computer, a single user computer, work computer. I would not recommend this monitor for those who would would use it strictly for music(poor audio quality and control) or videos and the hardcore gamers (bleed through). This is a good monitor but for everyday use with minimal to moderate multimedia applications.

What is 1ms response time?
Response time in monitors refer to the amount of time a pixel (dot) takes to go from black to white and back to black again. It is measured in milliseconds (ms). (More customer reviews)I bought this to reward myself for getting a scholarship, (which is rather counter-intuitive, but hey you need to celebrate.) and I was pleasantly surprised.This was not before swearing at the computer for about 30 minutes trying to install all the drivers the right way, but once it worked, the 3d effects were quite amazing.

I was disappointed to find that nothing really jumped OUT at you, but instead it felt like the monitor was a window to a smaller world.Nevertheless, it was very impressive. It didn't put as much of a press on my computer as all the reviews said it would, I was still getting very acceptable framerates playing rather demanding games using a GTX 275.

The glasses are pretty cool looking, and as a small bonus, they come charged enough to work out of the box. The monitor is really fantastic too,beautiful 1080p resolution, bright colors, and you can adjust it a lot of different ways for the best angle.

I originally got this for the games, and I was really shocked at how well all of them worked, I've yet to reach a game that doesn't support it.

My beef with this is the price.I would have waited if I wasn't so impulsive.The price was just a bit too high for what you get.It's cool and everything, but you are definitely paying a premium for new technology.It is cool enough that I'm keeping it though - I'm not regretting it THAT much.

And since this is a new technology, the amount of media for this is pretty small for everything but the games.There are a couple picture sets on nvidia website, but aside from that, you are pretty much stuck playing games for the 3d effect.

tl;dr:If you have the money, and PLAY GAMES, I'd recommend this.Otherwise, wait it out.

(More customer reviews)This monitor is absolutely gorgeous. The colors are vibrant, the black levels are impressive, and it has many features. It has a sleep timer, you can change the input it will automatically switch to at turn on by changing the default input, you can view how many hours the backlight has been on...it's great. HDMI, DVI, VGA, it can do it all. It even comes with a VGA cable. I haven't really experienced any glare, but then again I don't sit in front of sunlight and the paparazzi aren't particularly interested in me.

Just one caveat: the monitor comes folded, as the hinge between the base and the screen allows it to collapse and fit inside the packaging box. When I was unfolding it from the box, the hinge was quite stiff. I was actually a bit concerned that I would break the monitor right in half. Instead of holding the base and pulling the screen to unfold it, try holding the screen and pulling the base. It's less scarier and it works out easier.

Overall, I really enjoy this monitor and I would highly recommend it!

owned a 23" LED LCD 1080p and a 26" LCD monitor. This monitor by far surpasses the
image quality and design of both those products.

LED Backlighting: My previous LED monitor was just about as good as this one but
the previous monitor had a glass pane over the screen. This monitor however has
a matte finished screen for a no glare experience...

Contrast: Obviously the contrast ratio is not 5M : 1 but it is the best on any
monitor I have ever seen. A little bit of tweaking in the color menu and you
will have life like pictures/video/gaming all on this screenBoot Speed: Some reviews on here state that the Boot Speed is slow, this is not
the case with mine, it boots up in less than a second after touching the touch
sensitive power button conveniently located on the bottom middle of the bezel....

Design: Most people complain about not having a swivel option... Just turn your
monitor its not that hard.... Others complain about a lack of a height adjustment...
Just sit lower/higher... The tilt adjustment is all I need to have this monitor set
up just the way i want it...

Lack of Inputs: This monitor comes with a DVI and a HDMI input... Which is not a problem
for me because all my devices support those two formats. But to everyone else that has
a component hook up, you are SOL... If you have a VGA connection the monitor comes with a
very useful VGA to DVI cable that works pretty well with my Sony Vaio....

Response Time: My old LED monitor had a terrible response time, and I am an avid gamer so I
need a good response time, well this monitor excels in the response time category, games
are crisp with no blur and the image responds perfectly with every move I make!!!

In Conclusion: This monitor is sexy, lightweight, and has the most amazing picture you
will ever see in a 23 in. PLEASE GO BUY THIS PRODUCT....What's great about it: LED Backlighting, Contrast, Brightness, Boot Speed, Simplicity...
What's not so great: Buttons on back, Lack of inputs...

ASUS VH242H 23.6-Inch Widescreen LCD Monitor - Black Review

(More customer reviews)After 3+ months of great use of the VH242H, I cam home to find a problem that seems to be affecting/afflicting several other reviewers of this monitor - a flickering gray screen that does not seem to abate. I'll be hitting up ASUS service in the next few days, and will update this review or add comments as things progress.

Up until now, I've been very happy with this monitor and would certainly have given it 4 stars. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 star because it did so well. I might downgrade it depending on how ASUS service deals with this monitor.

[UPDATE 12/21/09]

Well, the monitor has gone to the ASUS repair facility and returned to me (with about a 2-week lag, and not the best online information regarding whether the monitor had been shipped or not), and it worked right out of the box.

And then it didn't. After putting my MacBook Pro to sleep and waking it up I found... the flickering BLACK screen of death. After jiggling, I was able to get the monitor working, but this happens now every time I either put the computer to sleep or unhook the monitor cable (which connects to a DisplayPort adapter). I've updated the video; more to follow soon.

(More customer reviews)I wanted to use a large monitor for my computer and initially purchased a Panasonic TC-L32S1 32 inch IPS lcd tv for this purpose based on recommendations out on the web. That TV was way to large to properly read documents and browse the web, no matter how fun it might have been to use for games. The pixel pitch is very important and sitting at a distance of 3 feet from a 32 inch tv does not work, as the pixels seem way to big. I wanted to find a better option that was a little smaller and this 27 inch monitor seems to be the perfect size. I sit about 2 feet away from it and even though it is considerably smaller than the 32 inch tv, it still feels MUCH larger than the 23 inch samsung monitor I also own.

I've been using this monitor for a week now and have noticed the following:

The native resolution is NOT too small for this size of screen. Some people complain that 1920 x 1080 is too little of a resolution for anything over a 23/24 inch monitor. I also use a laptop with a 17 inch screen with a 1920 x 1200 resolution and text on it can seem very small due to the small pixel pitch. After using this 27 inch monitor with a much larger pixel pitch, I can tell you that if you sit at normal distance from this monitor, you will not "notice each pixel" because of their larger size. Text looks large and sharp, but not lacking in detail. Of course, if you get very close to the screen you can see each pixel, but the monitor is meant to sit 2 feet away from you or more. At this distance, the resolution of 1920 x 1080 is more than enough for this size of a monitor.

The glossy screen finish on the monitor makes colors pop a lot, but might bother you if you have windows or lights behind you. I wanted a glossy screen monitor because I have no issue with the reflections of a glossy screen and prefer the pop that glossy screens give to colors. Direct sun light hitting the screen from the side is not much of an issue, as the anti-glare properties work pretty well. However, the screen can still be very reflective of things behind you. The brightness setting on the monitor should be set to half of the default setting, which is blindingly bright out of the box.

Response times on the monitor aren't the best I've experienced (even though listed at 2.5 ms) but are still decent. The low response times can only be achieved by turning on the "Video Overdrive" option, which is turned off by default. I have it on and did notice the motion blur decrease slightly on some motion tests. It is good enough to play games such as first person shooters, but its not the best performer I've seen in this department.

The black level produced by the monitor is not very dark, but the perceived contrast caused by the pop of the colors makes it a very pleasing image. The brightness setting on the monitor seems to only change the strength of the backlight instead of the brightness of the picture, so no matter what brightness setting you use, the black level stays pretty consistent.

The dynamic contrast ratio setting works very well compared to other TV's and monitors I've owned. It is very slow and gradual in adjusting the backlight depending on the scene instead of quickly changing like older tv's do. This makes it a much more seaming-less transition, much like your eye would behave when going from a very bright place to a darker place. I had it turned on for a little while, but decided to leaveit off permanently because the monitor goes back to its blindingly bright backlight setting on bright scenes and it hurts the eyes at night time.

Like other monitors, it has pre-exisinting "Text" and "Movie" settings. These seem to just modify the brightness and contrast settings. I decided to leave mine at "Custom" and use the brightness at 50 and the contrast at 80. Setting the constrast any higher will cause white crush (not showing all the details of the brightest range of colors like white).

The color settings allow you to change between 9300k, 6500k, and sRGB. 9300k seemed way to blue, sRGB seemed a little too red and 6500k seemed the most pleasing. I'm unable properly test for the gamma accuracy, but with the Avia calibration tool, there seemed to be very little difference in the gamma/color accuracy of sRGB and 6500k settings.

You can also adjust the Red, Green, and Blue colors individually for better color accuracy. However, like other monitors, there is no Hue or Color Saturation setting to help you do this easierly (with less accuracy).

The viewing angles for the monitor are limited just like any other TN panel. If you sit in front of the monitor, you won't have an issue with the viewing angles. If you plan to have people using it to watch it from steep angles, you should get a different monitor, as the colors will change a lot if viewed from anywhere besides the center position.

In summary:

Great for:
-Great Pop of colors due to glossy screen
-Good size and easy to read text from at a regular distance
-Decent response times for games with Video Overdrive turned on
-Decent black levels due to the contrast caused by bright colors and glossy screen.
-Sturdy and attractive design (monitor does not wobble much on its stand like other big monitors of this size usually do)

Cons:
-Black levels cannot be adjusted very much and stay pretty much the same because the brightness setting is just the backlight strength.
-Limited viewing angle for accurate colors due to TN panel
-Turning the dynamic contrast setting on leads to the monitor using blindingly bright settings in some scenes.

Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase and recommend this monitor to anyone who is not bothered by regular TN panel viewing angles and want a good pop of color from their monitor. The color reproduction might not be as accurate as an IPS panel, but they are darn pretty and POP much more than any IPS panel I've ever worked with.
