(More customer reviews)Docking stations are sweet!With this and my Sony VAIO VGN-N220E/B 15.4" Notebook PC (Intel Pentium D T2060 1.6 GHz Processor, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB Hard Drive, DVD RW Drive, Vista Premium) Black I can have a fair compromise of performance, mobility and convenience.

When I say "worth every penny", I mean that literally.You get what you pay for.You may notice that the price of this unit falls between that of a USB hub and other docking stations that are twice the price.You get what you pay for, and I don't say that to be snide or sarcastic.

So what do you get with the Kensington 33244?You get reliability (always a plus!) and ease of installation (it would be difficult to mess this up).A USB hub won't give you the Ethernet port (to connect to your DSL or cable modem), nor will it give you a parallel port to allow you still use that beloved older printer that's given you consistent service for years.

What doesn't it give?Basically, what separates this from pricier docking stations is the absence of video and sound support.If you want to use an external monitor and speakers, you still have to plug them directly into the notebook ports.That detracts a little from the mobility of things, but then again you're only giving up a little convenience (experienced only when you want to snatch the notebook off your desk and run down to Starbucks where you can appear to be writing the Great American Novel while really chatting with friends via IM).But I CAN still keep my ergonomic Microsoft Natural Keyboard Elite keyboard, and I CAN enjoy the VAIO's superior screen resolution in tandem with an external monitor (which extends the desktop!).

Worth every penny?Absolutely!Disappointed?Not in the least!

Some lights went out, the fridge completely burned out and I need a new one, I could smell smoke from something, but....my TV is perfectly OK.

The surge protector no longer works and now I need another one, but at least it's cheaper than a new TV. Oh yeah, I'm now buying units for EVERYTHING in the house, and even if it fails, Belkin has a warranty to replace the equipment, what else could someone ask?

(More customer reviews)First let me say that OCZ makes decent reliable Ram and these are no different.

The Heat sinks are more for decoration than function as cited from various reviews on the net. Those who have a cramped area around their memory slots may want to pass on this ram as the sinks can really get in the way of things since it makes them more or less double the height.

Performance wise they are average and on par with most DDR2 800MHZ on the market.

Overall they work as they should and may look cool in a custom case but the Heat Pipe is worthless for cooling so buy for the look not the cooling.

3 Stars for being space hogs.

(More customer reviews)I just installed this memory in a Dell Inspiron 531. I know it's helpful to know if it goes into the exact computer you have.

It did give it a noticeable boost in speed. I have the AMD athlon 64 X2 dual core processor with dual channel memory. The memory must be installed in pairs, and this Kingston item IS a pair ( 2 modules, each 1 Gig = 2 gig total.) My computer came with 1 Gig ( 2 modules of 512MB each,)so I went from 1 Gig to 3. Don't trust the Dell Support Center software. After I installed the memory, the Dell software showed I had only 2 Gig total, but the Windows SYSTEM control panel showed 3007MB ( 3 Gig. )

Be careful, a lot of the search results you get end up being the wrong memory. Every time I thought I had the right memory it was either SODIMM memory, which isn't the right kind for the 531, or it was only a single module, not 2. This is also the correct voltage (1.8) and speed ( PC2-5300 which is the same as 667 Mhz )I wasn't concerned with overclocking, just compatability. Some of the more expensive gaming memory is rated 800Mhz but they are 2.0 or 2.1 V and might have to be manually adjusted to work, which sounded like a pain, plus I think that'w why the Amazon reviews were not as good.

The cover of the computer was easy to remove ( just 2 screws.) Be sure to have an anti-static wrist band on and clap it to unpainted metal. then you just have to push the little plastic locking handles outward on the memory sockets and install the modules. They sit easliy in the slots, but you have to push down pretty firmly to get the locking handles to pop back up. Two of the locks locked by theselves as I pushed down. I had to help the other two.

Hope this is helpful to Inspiron 531 owners.

(More customer reviews)Like the title says, this is the best dual-core of any dual-core AMD offerings today at a price well below the Intel offerings AND it supports AM3 and DDR3. This 64-bit processor runs cool and sips power, which is great for heat/power sensitive systems or users that just want to conserve energy. I used this CPU in a mid-range Windows 7 system I built for my son and I couldn't be happier with the price/performance ratio.

It's stock 3GHz with 1MB cache per core is fast enough to run most games and anything else the average user throws at it. I overclocked mine to a stable 3.6 GHz using the controls on my MSI motherboard, but I didn't notice much of a performance gain I so returned it to stock. We've played a few games on it, watched streaming web video, surfed the web with lots of tabs open and edited photos in CorelDraw X5 with no slowdowns or hiccups. The X2 250 keeps it's cool even with a small stock fan.

I wouldn't recommend this to a gaming enthusiast looking to build a high-end system to run the latest 3D games or for someone doing heavy video encoding or editing, but for everyone else this CPU should be more than enough.

with my Dell Dimension E521 computer.Basically, there was this big
plastic thing on the end of the cable that plugged into the drive
that was too big for the enclosure.By the third "supervisor" on the
help line, I finally returned from India to the US and learned what
was going on.Western Digital had decided that the sata connector
spec was not physically robust enough -- apparently some had broken
and so they had (over-)engineered this monstrosity.Naturally, it
was my fault that it would not work with my computer.My options
appeared to be to return the drive or buy a "normal" sata cable. I
chose instead to snip off the offending plastic with some wire cutters.
Now the drive works great -- I only can't find the plastic piece since
it flew across the room and under some furniture in the process.

(More customer reviews)If you are looking for speakers for your computer then you can't do much better than this 2.1 Genius system.The highs and mids are pretty good and the bass is awesome. If you live in a dorm or an apartment you probably don't need anything louder than this--36 watts rms is plenty loud.I think the entry level 2.1 systems from Creative and Altec Lansing ($25-$30) put out about 12 watts. If you are considering one of those but are scared that they may lack some oomph, get this and you won't be disappointed.

The desk top control is very convenient once you find a spot for it on your desk.There is a 3.5 mm input jack on the back and two 3.5 mm cords are included (one for your computer and one for your mp3 player I presume).There are also two mic jacks (front and back), RCA inputs on the back, and a headphone jack on the front.There is no separate control for the subwoofer, but if you want to shut the subwoofer off, just turn the bass all the way down.

This system also works very well as speakers for your MP3 player.If you are willing to forgo the convenience of an iPod specific docking system, you can get a much better sound out of this system for less money.

I notice that the shipping weight is listed at 44 pounds.That must be a typo. This is a small system that weighs about ten pounds.
